Press Release: Christine Ernst’s “Fat Ass Cancer Bitch 2019: Still a Bitch” at Cotuit Center for the Arts

Cotuit Center for the Arts presents “Fat Ass Cancer Bitch 2019: Still a Bitch,” written and performed by Christine Ernst, on Monday and Tuesday, July 15 and 16, at 7:30, on the Main Stage.

Christine Ernst, the Fat Ass Cancer Bitch, returns for her ninth annual show featuring new material and her usual brand of irreverent, mouthy, no-holds-barred humor and story. Paul Babin of the Cape Cod Times wrote that the FACB “might be the best one-person show I have ever seen.”

Ernst’s show is part stand-up, part storytelling. She combines stories, monologues, and honest and relevant reflections on real life: aging, relationships, family, politics, and the big picture. “It’s mostly about not being a jerk, and trying to understand what our work here should be when it so often feels overwhelming,” Ernst says. “But don’t worry. I’ll make you laugh about it all. And there are cookies — everyone gets an Oreo!”

“Still a Bitch” is rated PG for language and nerve.

“FACB 2019: Still a Bitch” will also be presented at Wellfleet Preservation Hall on Wednesday and Thursday, July 24 and 25; the Cultural Center of Cape Cod on Friday, August 2 at 7:30 PM; and at Cape Cod Theatre Company, home of Harwich Junior Theatre, on Friday and Saturday, September 6 and 7, at 7:30 PM.
