CapeCodCAN
Since 2016, Cape Cod Collaborative Arts Network (CapeCodCAN) has been an independently-run program under the Center's non-profit umbrella. The merger of the two nonprofits is a natural fit, providing opportunities for artists on the Cape living with disabilities.
CapeCodCAN provides opportunities for inclusion and active participation in the arts for people with disabilities on Cape Cod.
CapeCodCAN serves more than 500 people each year through various art activities including art lessons, gallery shows, public art creation, talent shows, and theatrical performances.
A Card to Culture 50% discount on class tuition (does not include Friday Art Socials or Capoeira) is available to EBT, WIC, and ConnectorCare card holders. Students must present their card in person at the Box Office to receive the Card to Culture discount price. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Tell Your Story Writing Workshop

This four-week online writing workshop with Stephan Delbos will guide students in utilizing proven techniques to tell their stories effectively in genres including Poetry, Fiction, Drama, and Non-fiction. Each weekly workshop will focus on one genre, and students will get personalized feedback and instruction on how to use their life experience and voice to create compelling works of writing. Students will finish the class with greater confidence in their own writing and their ability to share their creative work with others.

The goals of the class include an assessment of each participant's comfort level presenting and speaking in front of a group and then to provide the skills to overcome any anxiety, self doubt, and nervousness or what we commonly call “stage fright”.
Goals will be realized through a series of classes that will involve breathing techniques, presentation techniques, facial expressions, and use of voice and inflection to portray emotion. Over the course of the class each participant will choose a monologue to focus on culminating in a monologue presentation on the last day.
