Press Release: “How to Talk to Fairies” at Cotuit Center for the Arts

Cotuit Center for the Arts presents “How to Talk to Fairies,” during school vacation week, February 18, 19, and 20, at 11 AM on the main stage.

In 1917, in war-torn England, two young girls “accidentally” took five photographs of real fairies. Championed by Harry Houdini and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the photographs and the girls became famous overnight and start a world-wide Fairy Craze.

“Everyone has seen the pictures. Everyone knows the story, but the girls held their secret, and now, more than 100 years later, we are going to tell it,” said Tristan DiVincenzo, director of the show.

“How to Talk to Fairies” is a mystical, immersive multimedia performance with dance, puppetry, and live music. The show is 75 minutes long and appropriate for children ages 4 and up.

DiVincenzo and a cast of 12 Mystical Beings transport the audience to the darkest of woods to encounter a moment in time where the invisible becomes visible, revealing a ravishing world teaming with color and movement.
