Treat Mom to some laughter on Mother’s Day Weekend with National headlining comedians Karen Morgan & Jim Colliton

Performing Saturday, May 13, 2023

Scamps Comedy is proud to present comedians Karen Morgan & Jim Colliton – who are married, but not to each other -- join together in this hilarious show about life in the suburbs. Through stand-up comedy, audience participation, and a crazy couples game show, Jim and Karen make us forget about the vexations of daily life. Lawn & Disorder is clean comedy for grown-ups. So get a babysitter for the little ones and bring Grammy with you.

"We presented Lawn & Disorder for three performances that averaged 90 percent sales,” said Chistopher Schario of the Public Theatre in Lewiston, Maine. “Our audience loved it!”

Scott Henley, executive director of the Clayton (NC) Center, called it, “90-plus minutes of hoping you don’t wet your seats as 'Lawn & Disorder' plays out many of life’s follies in a hilarious triad of stand up, game show and Q&A.”

After spending his teen years in hand-me-down Vidal Sassoon jeans from five older sisters, Jim Colliton parlayed his travails into a top spot on Ed McMahon’s “Next Big Star.” He has since appeared on Comedy Central, NBC, Fox, and CBS. Married and raising three kids in the Boston suburbs, Jim’s comedy focuses on the Dads: from lousy father day gifts to buying the wrong thing at the supermarket. His first album, Stories from the Suburbs, was named Best Comedy Album by the Just Plain Folks Music Festival in Nashville. His second, Why is Dad so Angry, is one of the most requested comedy albums on Sirius XM radio. Jim’s new DryBar Comedy special is Please, Take the Lunch!

Born and raised in Athens, Georgia, Karen Morgan was a trial attorney in Atlanta before moving to Maine. Being a working mom with 3 kids under 3 provided plenty of material to propel her into the finals of Nick at Nite’s Search for the Funniest Mom in America. Her latest CD, "Mean Candy," can be heard on Sirius XM Radio. Karen can also be seen on AXS-TV’s Gotham Comedy Live. Karen’s DryBar Comedy special, After 50 Your Just Stop Caring, just hit over 2.8M views on FB. Karen is still licensed to practice law in Maine and Georgia, but she will only give you legal advice if you take her to Waffle House.
