Press Release: The Rip-It-Ups in Concert at Cotuit Center for the Arts
Jun. 6, 2019 / Press ReleaseThe Rip-It-Ups will blow the roof off Cotuit Center for the Arts performing in concert on Thursday, August 1, at 7:30 PM.
“The Rip-It-Ups have supported the Center at our annual Entertainment Tonight summer fundraiser,” said David Kuehn, executive director of the center. “Now they headline the whole evening. It will be the most fun you’ve had all year. Guaranteed!”
Fronted by charismatic vocalist Jodi Birchall, the Rip-It-Ups celebrate with a rock & roll extravaganza with something for everybody, young or old. Known for their original, energetic and creative sound, the Rip-It-Ups play rock & roll, blues, rockabilly, country and western, ballads, jazz, and soul, both covers and originals.
A fixture on the Cape since 2006, the Rip-It-Ups perform regularly at Cotuit Center for the Arts, the Beachcomber in Wellfleet, the Barley Neck Inn in Orleans, the Roobar in Chatham, and other venues, including the Wellfleet Oysterfest, and in Wellfleet’s Mayo Beach music series, as well as at various benefits, fundraisers, and clubs.
With lead vocals, guitar, trombone and musical antics, Jodi Birchall knows how to keep things fun! Backed up by Gary Locke on guitar and vocals, Liam Hogg on drums and vocals, Ron Siegel on bass and vocals, and Pauli Lesniak on saxophone; the Rip-it-Ups will not disappoint.
The band always has a good time—and shares their high spirits, and musical enthusiasm with their audiences, who will want to dance the night away. Celebrate the New Year with the Rip-It-Ups’ good vibes.
