We Are The Champions, an original musical celebration of Queen, comes to the main stage at Cotuit Center for the Arts in August 2019 for eight shows, August 8^th through the 18^th. Starring the well-known and beloved New York City-based theater and music hall star Emily Wade Adams, and the exciting, emerging talents of vocal-mates John Connelly and Allie Jason (the Walrus and the Carpenter) and backed by The Queen’s Chorus, a stellar ten-voice choir featuring Cape theater and Pops favorites Emma Fitzpatrick and Anna McEntee, We Are The Champions performs songs drawn from Queen’s 14 studio albums including hits “Don’t Stop Me Now”, “You’re My Best Friend”, “Killer Queen”, “Somebody To Love” and “Bohemian Rhapsody”, among many others.

Exploring the depth of Queen’s music with powerful soloists, deep choral arrangements accompanied by a blistering rock band, We Are The Champions highlights the artistry and brilliance of this seminal British rock group.

Produced and Directed by drummer Michael Dunford in partnership with Cotuit Center for the Arts, with Music Direction by Malcolm Granger and Choral Direction by Marcia Wytrwal. Lighting design by Greg Hamm (a lighting veteran of many of the New England dates on the Queen II tour) and costume design by Amy Canaday.

The band features notable Cape-area musicians Paul Good on guitar, Jim Peterson on bass, Misao Koyama on piano, Malcolm Granger on guitar and keys and Michael Dunford on drums. This group comprised the pit band for Cotuit Center for the Arts hit Jesus Chris Superstar last March (2018).
