We are thrilled to announce the return of world-renowned mezzo-soprano Denyce Graves to our stage this January, accompanied by distinguished pianist Laura Ward. Ms. Graves, celebrated for her rich, expressive voice and commanding stage presence, has graced the world's premier opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, where she debuted in 1995 and has since delivered numerous acclaimed performances.
Beyond her illustrious operatic career, Ms. Graves has made significant cultural contributions, notably performing at the memorial service for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in 2020.
She is also the founder of The Denyce Graves Foundation, dedicated to supporting and mentoring emerging artists. The Denyce Graves Foundation
Joining her is Laura Ward, a distinguished collaborative pianist and Artistic Director of Lyric Fest. Ms. Ward is renowned for her technical prowess and extensive repertoire, having performed at esteemed venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center.
This concert marks Ms. Graves' second appearance with us, promising an afternoon of exceptional artistry and musical excellence.
