Class Description
Take your ukulele skills to the next level! This class is a continuation of our Beginner Ukulele course and is perfect for students comfortable with basic chords and strumming who want to broaden their musical abilities. We will build on the fundamentals, learn new chords and strumming techniques, and work on playing more complex and popular songs with greater confidence and musicality.
Prerequisites: The ability to comfortably tune your ukulele, form and switch somewhat smoothly between basic C, F, G7, and Am chords, and play a simple strum pattern or two.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Expand their chord vocabulary to include chords like the "dreaded Bb", the "one finger D" and others!
- Develop more varied strumming patterns
- Execute cleaner chord changes with less buzzing.
- Gain experience with basic fingerpicking patterns and reading simple tablature (TAB).
- Play and sing along with a wider variety of songs in different genres.
- Make a bunch of ukulele playing friends for life.
