Sept 17 - Oct 15

Art Studio

This class explores the fundamentals of landscape drawing using graphite pencils and ink pens, with an emphasis on structure and observation. While the class is best suited for students with some basic drawing experience, it remains accessible and welcoming to all skill levels. Students will learn how to construct compelling scenes from the ground up.

We will focus on essential concepts such as composition, value, and perspective, learning how to organize a landscape so it feels balanced and engaging. Through guided exercises and finished drawings, students will develop confidence working in both pencil and ink—understanding when to build softly with graphite and when to commit to bold, expressive linework.

Throughout the course, we will explore a range of subjects, including natural landscapes, urban environments and seascapes. Each project is designed to build practical skills while encouraging personal interpretation and style.

By the end of the class, students will have a stronger grasp of how to simplify complex scenes, create depth, and bring landscapes to life using just line and value.
