Class Description
Join multidisciplinary artist Jackie Reeves for a two-day intensive designed to expand your artistic thinking and push beyond familiar approaches to making art.
Through drawing, painting, and collage, you’ll explore dynamic mark-making techniques and experimental processes that encourage spontaneity, play, and creative risk-taking. With step-by-step guidance, participants will work through layered exercises that help release inhibitions and open the door to unexpected discoveries in both abstract and representational work. As compositions evolve through accumulation and disruption, you’ll also learn editing strategies that bring clarity, structure, and personal meaning to the work.
The workshop includes guided exercises, engaging slide presentations featuring contemporary art practices, design and composition lessons, dedicated studio time to develop a small series of artworks, and opportunities for group discussion and reflection.
