All Our Relations: Art of the Wampanoag Nation

May 31 - June 29, 2025
Opening Reception May 31
5:00 - 7:00pm

All Our Relations: Art of the Wampanoag Nation is a compilation of works produced by emerging to well established Wampanoag artists who represent the cultural identity, creative expression, and resilience of a people who have made this their homeland for as many as 12,000 years.

This show celebrates the endurance of the People of the First Light through authentic, contemporary art from tribal citizens with an artistic intellect informed by and deeply rooted in their Indigeneity.

All Our Relations: Art of the Wampanoag Nation features artists from the Mashpee, Aquinnah, Herring Pond, Chappaquiddick and Assonet Wampanoag Tribes.

This exhibition is co-curated by Mashpee Wampanoag Paula Peters and Michelle St. John, a member of the Board of Directors of CCftA – with appreciation to the ancestors.

All Our Relations: Art of the Wampanoag Nation Brings Largest Gathering of Wampanoag Art Ever Assembled to Cotuit Center for the Arts

“This exhibition is a powerful expression of art as memory, identity, and living tradition. All Our Relations: Art of the Wampanoag Nation has transformed our gallery into a space of reverence, reflection, and connection—not only for the Wampanoag artists who have so generously shared their work, but for everyone who walks through these doors. At Cotuit Center for the Arts, we believe in the power of art to tell stories that matter. We are deeply grateful to Michelle St. John, Paula Peters, and to every artist who entrusted us with this extraordinary collection."

David Kuehn, Executive Director at Cotuit Center for the Arts
