About the Production
Directed by Tedi Marsh, a beloved performer and producer familiar to Cotuit audiences for over a decade, this production promises a fresh, exhilarating take on one of the greatest works in the musical theater canon. Tedi’s experience includes producing three prior productions of Evita, and she brings her unique vision and expertise to this staging.
Why Evita? Why Now?
Evita explores themes of ambition, resilience, and the complexities of leadership—topics that remain profoundly relevant today. Eva Perón’s journey from poverty to political power resonates as a story of hope and determination, while also challenging audiences to reflect on the costs of fame and influence.
At Cotuit Center for the Arts, we believe in creating opportunities for dialogue through storytelling. This production will honor the cultural and historical significance of the piece while engaging our community in meaningful ways.
