The Smiley Fund Comedy Night, 2025

Paul D’Angelo is a former assistant district attorney and criminal-defense trial lawyer who has been headlining A-List comedy clubs around the country for over thirty-five years. He has performed at many other famed entertainment venues, ranging from the legendary Friar’s Clubs and the Waldorf Astoria’s main ballroom in New York City, to the main showroom at Harrah’s Casino and Caesar’s Palace; has entertained hundreds of prominent corporate clients such as Ford Motor Company, Sony Music Corp., Hewlett-Packard Corp., Nike-Bauer International, Fidelity Investments, CVS/Caremark Inc., American and Delta Airlines, the American Bar Association, General Electric and Goldman-Sachs; and has opened for over sixty international stars such as Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, The Beach Boys, Chicago, The Doobie Brothers, Tony Bennett and Tom Jones. He co-starred in the Showtime movie, The Godfathers of Comedy and is also the author of six hilarious books that have won numerous literary awards.

Mitch Stinson is a former aircraft-carrier aviator for the United States Navy who, as a pilot, made over 200 carrier landings during a 10-year military career.

Mitch has risen through the comedy ranks in the Northeast US by virtue of his original material that offers unique insight into the transition from hot-shot Navy pilot to everyday civilian life. His good-natured humor resonates with comedy crowds everywhere.

Andrew Della Volpe got his start working as an intern at Sacha Baron Cohen’s Four by Two Films and has never considered a straight job since. During the pandemic, he performed small and socially distant driveway comedy shows. Spending the summer performing in backyards all over New England, Andrew was able to play more than 50 shows and was featured on CBS Boston and Mix 104.1’s Karson and Kennedy radio show. In addition to being a finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival and working clubs, theaters, and dive bars across New England for the past 5 years, Andrew can now be seen headlining regularly at clubs across New England including The Rex Theatre and most notably the Legendary Nick’s Comedy Stop. Andrew also hosts a weekly show on Tuesdays at one of Boston's most beloved bars, The Bell in Hand.

Centerville’s Jim Ruberti is a Boston comedian and actor who has been entertaining people for more than 30 years. He has performed with the biggest comics in New England, including Lenny Clarke, Steve Sweeney, Paul Nardizzi, Christine Hurley, Jimmy Dunn, Dave Rattigan, Mike Donovan, and Juston McKinney. Venues include the Cotuit Center for the Arts, Nick’s Comedy Stop, Mass Arts Center, Comedy Key West, and more. He has performed at the Cape Cod Comedy Festival and is a cast member for the successful Ranting Parents Comedy Tour. Jim’s comedy is clean and fresh, centered around family and current events.

A special fundraiser to benefit the Smiley Fund, Inc., a non-profit organization with the dedicated mission of raising funds and fostering awareness for brain cancer.

The proceeds from this event go directly to the Pappas Center for Neuro-Oncology at Mass General Hospital.
