An Evening with Tom Rush, Accompanied by Matt Nakoa
Tom Rush has left an indelible mark on the American music landscape. A driving force in the folk revival of the ’60s, the folk-rock movement of the ’70s, and the vibrant renaissance of the ’80s and ’90s, his influence spans generations. Artists like James Taylor, Emmylou Harris, Tom Petty, and Garth Brooks have all cited him as a major inspiration.
His early recordings introduced the world to the work of Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, and James Taylor. Later, his celebrated Club 47 concerts shone a national spotlight on rising talents including Nanci Griffith and Shawn Colvin.
Today, Tom remains as captivating as ever—writing and performing with the same passion, tenderness, and artistry that have long defined his career, weaving together the musical traditions and voices of our time.
We are delighted to welcome Tom, along with Matt, back to Cotuit Center for the Arts for a special three-day run!
