Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber

Lyrics and Book by Tim Rice

Experience the passion, power, and unforgettable music of Andrew Lloyd Webber's iconic masterpiece Evita at Cotuit Center for the Arts this fall. This landmark musical brings the story of Eva Perón, one of Argentina’s most fascinating historical figures, to vivid life through a spellbinding score and poignant storytelling.

In the title role, Cotuit favorite Sara Sneed returns to dazzle audiences once again. Sara has captivated Cape audiences with her versatility and unforgettable performances in productions such as A Few Good Men, Man of La Mancha, Mary Poppins, Death and the Maiden, Grease, Matilda, Silver Threads, and the wildly popular Women Rock series, where she also served as co-producer.

About the Production

Directed by Tedi Marsh, a beloved performer and producer familiar to Cotuit audiences for over a decade, this production promises a fresh, exhilarating take on one of the greatest works in the musical theater canon. Tedi’s experience includes producing three prior productions of Evita, and she brings her unique vision and expertise to this staging.

Why Evita? Why Now?

Evita explores themes of ambition, resilience, and the complexities of leadership—topics that remain profoundly relevant today. Eva Perón’s journey from poverty to political power resonates as a story of hope and determination, while also challenging audiences to reflect on the costs of fame and influence.

At Cotuit Center for the Arts, we believe in creating opportunities for dialogue through storytelling. This production will honor the cultural and historical significance of the piece while engaging our community in meaningful ways.
