The Back Yard is our hip, seasonal new gathering place. Did we mention free admission? Bring your family and friends (chairs and snacks if you'd like, too!) and join us on Friday Afternoons!
While you are chatting around the fire pit or playing corn hole with the kids, you might learn about our latest class offerings. While sipping something cold and delicious, you might hear some groovy music by one of our favorite locals during an open mic. Want to hear about how to volunteer? Or tour the campus with our Executive Director? We have that too!

This Week in The Back Yard
Cured by the Cape is Cape Cod’s premiere mobile charcuterie bar, catering events across the Cape—from weddings and corporate gatherings to birthdays and private celebrations. This September, we’ll be popping up at the Cotuit Arts Center for their outdoor Tony Bennett Tribute concerts on 9/6, 9/12, and 9/19. Guests can enjoy handcrafted small plates and build-your-own charcuterie, featuring a mouthwatering mix of artisanal cheeses, cured meats, seasonal fruits, and gourmet accompaniments—perfect for savoring alongside timeless music and a beautiful evening under the stars.
Weather Policy for Outdoor Events
We love hosting events under the open sky — but unfortunately, Mother Nature doesn’t always RSVP. If the forecast looks too wet, wild, or windy, we may have to cancel.
There’s no shelter in the backyard (umbrellas don’t count), so for everyone’s comfort and safety, we’ll make a final call by 12 noon on the day of the event. If we need to cancel, we’ll post a notice right here on the website. If the skies are looking questionable, check the website.
