 This collection of 10 large paintings  reimagines flying objects capable of taking us to and from a new planet.

Lauren has been motivated by science fiction and that marriage of fear and hope during a time of uncertainty. This work reflects an appreciation for the hand-crafted costumes and sets featured in early film before digital applications.

Bio:

Lauren Lortie is a life-long local artist living and working in Centerville. She currently works as an Assistant Teacher and Art Specialist at Cape Symphony Preschool in Barnstable, finding joy in helping young artists discover their potential and love for creative expression.

Lauren studied at The School of The Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University (Studio Diploma), Massachusetts College of Art (BFA), and earned her Master’s of Fine Arts at the LeRoy E. Hoffberger School of Painting at Maryland Institute College of Art.
