The arts are essential. Our mission is to be a welcoming hub for Cape Cod’s artists, performers, students, and audiences, working together to make the creation and experience of art accessible, nurturing, and thrilling to all.

We welcome artists to submit their proposals for projects in our gallery, Sigel Black Box, and classrooms. We strive to present exhibits, events, and classes and workshops of the highest quality with an emphasis on exposing audiences to original ideas that support the Center’s principles of Educate, Entertain, Illuminate, Inspire, and Include. If you have a project you would like considered, please fill out one of our submission forms. Details are below.

The Cotuit Main Stage Theater

SS1 4262

Cotuit's Main Stage is our largest stage, holding 170 patrons. Our Main Stage shows have a reputation of high quality from both an audience and cast perspective. We strive to continuously enhance our productions and push the envelope for what community theater can be.

Our Main Stage season consists of 6-7 productions, a balanced mix of musicals, straight plays, and original revues/concert events. These productions are selected by the Executive Director and are not open for submissions.

The Sigel Black Box Theater

SS1 0585 2

The Sigel Black Box Theater is a home for work with simple production values and high performance values. Audiences come here for varied, intimate, and exciting experiences in a venue like nowhere else on Cape. The theater seats approximately 40 patrons.

Revenue from productions in the Sigel is shared between the Center and the producer/director. Our Sigel Black Box Season consists of 6-7 shows running for 3 weekends each, with opportunities throughout the year for events ranging from one night performances to 1-2 weekend runs.

Submissions are currently open for the 2026 season. Please click the button below to submit a proposal.

Gallery

There are three exhibition spaces at the Center: one on the lower level, two on the upper level, including a dedicated space for three dimensional work.

Our galleries exhibit fine art and craft by emerging and professional artists. Each year we strive to present a variety of styles, themes and media. We host exhibits by local, regional and international artists. In addition, we host several open juried exhibitions throughout the season and produce one Member-Student-Faculty exhibit annually.

To be considered for a future exhibition please click the button below, or click here to see a list of upcoming juried shows.

Concerts

Entertainment Tonight 128 1

The Center is host to as many concerts and events each year as the campus’s schedule allows. Performance availability is extremely limited due to the practical rehearsal and set build requirements of our Main Stage Theater season and ongoing annual music events, so we are not currently accepting concert proposals.
