Class Description
Bring a little handmade magic into the garden. In this five week class with Mary Shea, students will create ceramic pieces designed to live among the flowers, herbs, shrubs, and slightly dramatic tomato plants.
This garden party themed class will focus on handbuilt garden art, including stacked garden sculptures, decorative stakes, sculptural accents, plant markers, small outdoor ornaments, and other pieces that add color, height, texture, and personality to an outdoor space.
Mary will guide students through construction techniques, surface texture, pattern, and design choices while encouraging each person to develop work that feels personal and full of life.
Students should have some previous handbuilding experience and be comfortable working independently with support.
Come make something that blooms in clay, survives without watering, and gives your garden something new to talk about.
