Class Description
This workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore experimental Cone 5 glaze combinations while learning simple systems for organizing and documenting your tests. Rather than testing glazes one at a time, we will focus on cross combining multiple glazes to quickly generate a wide range of results.
This approach creates a visual library of glaze surfaces that you can reference and recreate later, while also helping you understand what glaze tests reveal and why they are such an important part of the ceramic process.
During the final session, we will review and share our results while discussing common glaze issues, their causes, and practical solutions. The studio will provide a variety of test tiles and glazes, and participants are also welcome to bring their own Cone 5 glazes to experiment with.
This workshop is a great opportunity to explore glaze ideas, deepen your understanding of testing, and discover new surfaces through shared experimentation.
