Break the rules and think outside the round. Experiment with transforming wheel-thrown forms into inspired new pieces using hand-building techniques.

This class welcomes makers who are ready to explore, experiment, and follow their curiosity. Begin with forms created on the wheel, then alter, combine, cut, stretch, reshape, and build upon them to discover unexpected possibilities. The focus is not on creating perfectly round pots, but on seeing where the clay can take you when you loosen the rules and try something new. Come prepared to play, take creative risks, and develop pieces that feel uniquely your own.
