Wine & Music Musician Feature: Naomi Steckman
Cellist Naomi Steckman loves to connect through music and the outdoors. She has been playing the cello since she was three, has an undergraduate degree from Berklee College of Music and a graduate degree from Boston University Orchestral Studies program. For over 10 years she freelanced and performed with orchestras from Portland Maine all the way down to Charleston South Carolina. In 2021 she founded Beyond the Bounds, whose mission is to build healthy coastal communities through providing events that focus on education, preservation and connection to our oceans and beaches. This is done through partnering with like-minded organizations to create fun and engaging events that pair arts, culture, oceanic preservation and marine life education. Through creating Beyond the Bounds, Naomi found her gift in the most unexpected places- connecting with people and creating a safe and healthy community pairing her two loves, the ocean and music.
